MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith -
Chapter 1171: Making the Most of One's Time
Though his stats hadn't really improved that much when considering the fact that he'd more than doubled his total stats by just reaching the peak of Rank 4, Valyr still felt like he'd shored some of his shortcomings thanks to the tincture.
Because of it, almost all of his important stats were now over 2,000 points each, with one of them even getting close to breaching through the 3,000 point mark.
On the other hand, the main stats his Attack stat scaled upon now hovered around the 5,000 point mark, allowing his attacks to become more lethal than they already were.
Feeling like it wouldn't be long till he reached a point where one of his stats would break through the five-digit mark, Valyr let out a soft chuckle of excitement as he snapped back to reality.
Taking in a few deep breaths to sort out his thoughts, he then moved his screen to the side before going through a few movements he had in mind, wanting to acclimate himself to his newfound strength as quickly as possible.
While doing so, his thoughts gradually wandered towards the second set of items he obtained from the tournament, feeling a slight urge to consume the Tincture of Heavenly
Reconstruction once more.
However, by the time he was done acclimating to his strength, the young man did not hesitate to discard such thoughts from his mind.
"I still need to give it to Mystia for her to study," murmured Valyr to himself, recalling the promise he made to himself around the end of the tournament.
Considering that Mystia did not hesitate to sacrifice her chances at obtaining greater rewards in order for him to gain access to his own, the young man had no qualms giving the remaining tincture for the meantime.
After all, her ultimate aim with the item was to try and incorporate its properties into the items she would concoct from now on.
Plus, even though he had no doubts his strength would greatly improve from consuming the second tincture, Valyr decided to save its consumption for another time.
'At the very least, I'll consume it only after Greater Beyond is released to the public,' thought the young man to himself, returning the status screen back to his field of vision as he glanced at the timer at the bottom.
Seeing that there were only roughly 4 days left before the new version would arrive, it was no surprise that he felt a bit of pressure, inwardly telling himself to make the most out of the remaining time he had.
With that, he closed his screen before hastily heading out of the inn, only to then bring up yet another screen in front of him as he made his way to the Blacksmith Guild's mission hall.
Sending a message to Elder Alvin on his plans once he was there, Valyr eventually stumbled upon the message Mystia sent to him while he was unconscious, prompting him to take a look at it.
Taking it as an opportunity to talk about the concoction he saved for her, the young man swiftly read through the message she sent to him, causing his eyebrow to raise in curiosity as it talked about the changes to the Myriad Prodigies Tournament.
"So, they're holding it a month from now, huh?" Briefly glancing at where he was walking, Valyr quickly whipped up a response to Mystia's message while at the same time shifting the topic towards the concoction.
Surprisingly, Mystia responded to his message just as he'd arrived at the mission hall, causing him to loiter around the entrance for a bit as the two sent messages back and forth between them for quite some time.
Confirming that she wanted to get her hands on the concoction for her experiments at the end of their conversation, Valyr could not stop himself from letting out a slight chuckle as he received a few words of gratitude from her.
Finally entering the Blacksmith Guild's mission hall after that, the young man was soon greeted by the attendants manning the hall, as well as the man he'd contacted earlier regarding his plans.
"Are... are you serious in your message earlier?" Looking at the young man in front of him in slight disbelief, Elder Alvin decided to clear up his confusion by asking in clarification.
"You... you plan on forging an arquebus from scratch?"
"I do." Valyr nodded, only to pause for a bit as he recalled a certain person he had yet to message.
Getting a quick response from the person just as he sent his message out, the young man faintly nodded in satisfaction before returning his attention to the old man before him. "Although I plan on forging one arquebus, there's also the possibility that I might forge two."
"With that said, are the materials ready? How about the blacksmiths who'll be watching me go through the forging process?"
"Both are already on their way." Elder Alvin faintly nodded, slightly curious as to why the young man decided to forge an arquebus all of a sudden. "At the latest, we'll be able to start around 15 minutes from now."
"Got it." Nodding at the old man's words, Valyr then shifted the topic of their conversation in regards to the upcoming version a few days ago, wondering what the Imperial Production Guild was gonna do about it.
Unexpectedly, Elder Alvin told him that the Imperial Production Guild's stance on the matter was a bit more active than he thought it would be, being told that they'd investigate the demands of the beings as soon as they arrived.
Though they did feel like mobilizing the entire workforce of the four production guilds for the beings was possibly a good idea, the guild ultimately erred on the side of caution.
Of course, as Valyr was the one who brought up the question in the first place, it went without saying that Elder Alvin asked in return, wondering why he would ask such a thing.
In response, the young man told him that he planned on leaving the frontlines once more because of the heads-up Scho'doxa gave them, wanting to make use of the remaining time he had before the new version to prepare for their arrival.
Curious, the old man asked Valyr a bit more about what he meant by that, to which the former responded that he'd be forging a few items and concocting a few potions for them.
Although he felt that there was another reason behind the young man's actions, Elder Alvin decided not to dwell on it any further. After all, Valyr had no obligation to share such information with someone like him.
If anything, their Imperial Production Guild was the one obligated to share things with him due to his massive contributions.
'I suppose I should talk with the council regarding this sometime later.' As this thought came to mind, Elder Alvin soon had a smile on his face once he saw that the materials had finally arrived at the hall during the conversation, with the blacksmiths appearing a couple minutes
later.
However, aside from them, there was also something else that the old man wasn't expecting
to see.
"Noel..."
